SARsmart Bootcamp & Workshop

Most of the water in Canada is cold year-round, especially in the north, when it is not frozen. Cold water is a major contributor to drowning deaths year after year and with some education and tools, it is possible to increase your chances of survival when it comes to a cold-water immersion. To help bring awareness to the cold-facts about cold water, SAR Smart Bootcamp has been created to bring you first hand encounters with the grip of cold water and to hear from fellow Canadians’ experiences with cold water immersions on how you can be better prepared to handle a similar situation.
